This notice explains how JKY Business Solutions GmbH handles personal data when you visit this website, contact us, enquire about products or technical visits, or subscribe to The Robotics Brief.

2. Visiting this website

Our website is hosted on Squarespace. Delivering pages and protecting the service involves technical data such as your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages, referring page, and the time of access. We use these data to operate a reliable website, resolve faults and prevent misuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing and securing the website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Squarespace Ireland Limited provides the platform. Squarespace processes website data on our behalf for relevant platform functions and also processes certain data for its own purposes. Details are in the Squarespace Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum.

3. Contact, product and visit enquiries

When you submit a form or email us, we process your name, email address, message and any company, project, technology, timing or participant information you choose to provide. We use these details to respond, assess your request and coordinate the next steps. Required fields are marked; you may leave optional fields blank. Without the required details, we may be unable to respond through the form.

Processing necessary for a requested quotation, service or other pre-contractual steps is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Other business enquiries are handled under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, reflecting our interest in responding to relevant communications. Form submissions are stored in Squarespace; where email notifications are configured, a copy is delivered to our business mailbox. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

Please avoid sending passwords, sensitive personal information or confidential technical documents through the general form. We can agree a suitable channel if your enquiry requires them. We will not pass your identifiable project enquiry to a supplier or visit host simply because you submitted it; we first coordinate with you what information should be shared and for what purpose.

4. The Robotics Brief newsletter

If you subscribe, we use your email address to send robotics news, supplier stories, technology perspectives and relevant event updates. Subscription is voluntary and separate from our enquiry forms. After signing up, you receive a confirmation email; please follow its link to confirm your subscription. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. We store subscription details in Squarespace and retain the information needed to document your choice.

You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in a newsletter or by emailing info@humanoid-europe.com. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. We may retain a minimal suppression record to respect your unsubscribe request and evidence necessary to establish or defend legal claims.

5. Cookies and website analytics

Squarespace uses cookies and similar technologies for platform functions and website analytics. Essential technologies support functions such as security and session handling. The legal basis for associated personal-data processing is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; storage or access strictly necessary for a requested service falls under Section 25(2) TDDDG.

Non-essential analytics technologies require your consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG and Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Their purpose is to understand visits and improve the website. Before public launch, we will configure the visitor controls for accepting, declining and changing these choices. The current private draft has its cookie banner disabled and non-essential cookies unrestricted; it is not yet a completed consent setup.

Browser settings can also remove or block cookies, although this may affect site functions. Squarespace describes cookie types and durations in The cookies Squarespace uses.

6. Spam protection

Our Contact form and newsletter signup forms use Google reCAPTCHA to help distinguish legitimate submissions from automated abuse. It may process technical information, including IP address, browser and device signals, and interaction data, and set a security cookie. Its purpose is form protection; any consent required for device access or related processing must be obtained before activation. Our interest in preventing abusive submissions is relevant under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, but does not replace a consent requirement.

7. Videos, social links and event registration

We use product images and videos to explain technology. Squarespace-hosted media are delivered through the website platform. Following a link to LinkedIn, a supplier or an event-registration website takes you to another provider. That provider is responsible for its own processing; please read its privacy notice. An event enquiry on our website is not an event registration. Registration completed on an organiser’s website is governed by that organiser’s information and terms.

8. Who receives data?

Within JKY, access is limited to people who need the information to handle your request. Service providers for hosting, form storage and business email may process data for these purposes. Authorities or professional advisers may receive information where a legal obligation or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims requires it. We do not sell personal data.

Taas Labs, suppliers and visit hosts do not automatically receive all enquiries or subscriber details. If a requested project or visit needs cooperation with another organisation, we clarify the intended recipient and scope with you before sharing identifiable information.

9. International transfers

Platform and security providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Transfers must rely on a valid adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, where applicable. Squarespace’s transfer arrangements are described in its linked Data Processing Addendum. Contact us if you require information about safeguards relevant to your data.

10. How long do we keep data?

We keep enquiry records while needed to answer and follow up your request. We review and remove records when that purpose ends, unless legal retention duties or the handling of legal claims require continued storage. If an enquiry becomes a business relationship, applicable commercial and tax retention duties may apply. Newsletter records are retained until withdrawal, with limited evidence or suppression records as described above. Provider-held technical data and cookies follow the applicable service retention periods.

11. Your rights

Subject to the GDPR’s conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You may withdraw consent at any time. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation, and object to direct marketing at any time. Contact info@humanoid-europe.com to exercise these rights. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity before responding.

You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority. For private companies in Bavaria, this is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA). You may also contact the authority in the country where you live or work.
