Yunfan Intelligent Control is a Shanghai-based developer and manufacturer of intelligent robotics technology. The company was established in 2025 and builds on earlier engineering work in industrial robotics research and dual-arm systems for the power sector.
Today, Yunfan focuses on robotic automation for manufacturing, logistics and energy. Its work connects robot hardware with perception and control software, addressing the physical tasks that sit between sensing an environment and acting within it.
Yunfan specialises in humanoid-style dual-arm manipulation, drawing on its expertise in motion control. Its robots are built for precise operation in complex environments and for reducing people’s exposure to hazardous work.
Perception
Yunfan combines structured-light and stereo vision with 3D lidar. Object recognition and pose estimation help connect visual information with manipulation tasks, while spatial sensing supports motion planning and navigation through a changing workspace.
Coordinated control
Yunfan’s engineering focus includes dual-arm coordination, whole-body motion planning and hybrid force/position control. External-torque estimation and collision detection help the robot respond during contact and coordinate its movements around surrounding equipment.
Data & learning
Yunfan works on VR teleoperation, multimodal data collection and vision-language-action model inference. Operator-guided demonstrations and task data support its development towards more autonomous perception, planning and execution in physical environments.
APPLICATIONS & INDUSTRY

Yunfan’s robots are designed for material handling, sorting, flexible assembly and interaction with electrical equipment, including tote handling and carton palletising – the movement and manipulation of objects in production and logistics workflows.
The company’s wider aim is automation for manufacturing, logistics and energy environments. Each application is planned around the specific task, environment and integration requirements.
Yunfan takes an active part in industry exchange. At the China International Import Expo (CIIE) in November 2025, the company demonstrated a robot developed for power-industry work and held technical discussions with component suppliers – including sensor and reducer teams – and with application-side companies.
